I’ve always had a soft spot for UF and really wanted the online classes to live up to what I expected from the school, but it was frustrating. The course pages felt cluttered, videos would load oddly at times, and I spent way too much time just trying to find basic information that should’ve been easy to access.

What made it harder was how slow support and staff replies could be, so a lot of weeks I felt like I was just stuck waiting. I still like UF as a brand and wanted to feel good about choosing them, but for the price, I expected a much smoother experience

UF definitely has a big name, and there are about a few programs that are really well known, but my experience felt a little overhyped. It was tough to get around to advisors when I needed help, and a lot of the classes felt crowded. The reputation is definitely there, but the day-to-day experience didn’t really match what I expected.

UF’s student services are decent overall, but it really depends on who you end up talking to. Some people are super helpful and nice, while others take forever to get back to you or just send you to another office. The online info can be a little confusing too, like you think you found the answer and then nope lol. It’s not bad, just kind of hit or miss when you need help quickly.

The admissions process just wore me out. Replies took ages, the steps weren’t always clear, and I felt like I kept having to follow up just to figure out what was happening. By the end, I was more tired than excited

The campus feels welcoming and diverse overall, though there’s definitely still room to improve. I’ve had mostly good experiences day to day, but I don’t fully trust the customer service/admin side of things to be super helpful when issues come up

There’s just something about game day here. The Gator spirit is everywhere, and it’s loud in the best way. it makes the whole experience feel unreal.

I was disappointed with the financial aid support. I reached out hoping to get some real help, but the experience was frustrating and didn’t really solve anything for me.

UF is a decent value if you’re in-state. If you live in Florida, the tuition feels way more manageable than a lot of other schools, and the degree still carries a solid name.

But yeah, it’s not like it’s magically cheap once you’re actually there. Fees, books, housing, food, and all the little random stuff pile up quicker than you’d think, so the sticker price is kinda only part of the story.
If you’re out-of-state, I’d really think it through unless you’re getting some good aid. UF is a good school for sure, but whether it’s worth the money kind of depends on your own situation...

The UF site is useful for the most part, but getting help from the admin side has been kind of frustrating. I’ve had emails take like 3 or 4 days to get a real answer, and a couple times it felt like my message was just being passed around. I had to follow up maybe 2 or 3 times for what was a simple question. It’s not terrible overall, but the response time definitely needs work

I was surprised by how worn out parts of the campus felt. Some of the buildings look really old, the bathrooms weren’t very clean, and parking was a total mess. For a school this big, I kept thinking, how is this okay? It just doesn’t feel like the facilities are being kept up the way they should be.

I went into UF career services thinking it was going to be this big turning point, like finally someone would help me figure things out. Instead, it was kind of a flop. I tried reaching out a few times, but the replies took forever, and when I did get advice, it felt really basic, stuff I could’ve found in a quick Google search. i walked out more confused than when I started, which was not the plot twist I was hoping for. For such a big school, I expected a lot better. It just wasn’t worth the time for me.

UF Online was useful when I was looking into the academic stuff. Programs were easy to check out, course info wasn’t hard to find, and the faculty pages helped too. Nothing flashy, just solid

I spent the whole semester applying to labs and wish I had realized sooner how hard it would be to get a response. I barely heard back from anyone, and after a while it felt like I was just sending emails into the void. Looking back, I regret not having a better plan or guidance because it really felt like a lot of time went to waste

I use UF Online often as a student, mostly when I’m trying to find campus info, events, housing details, or those random links I can never remember. Most of the time, it gets me where I need to go without too much trouble.

Life on campus is definitely busy, but in a good way. There’s always something going on, whether it’s clubs, games, food spots, or random events you hear about last minute. The site helps keep track of a lot of that, which is nice when everything feels like it’s moving fast.

The only downside is that some pages feel a little buried or outdated, so I do end up clicking around more than I’d like. Still, overall, it’s a solid resource, and I usually leave feeling glad it’s there when I need it

Housing was easy to deal with, and the dining was decent enough. Nothing fancy, but it worked for me. No major complaints, really.

I do like a lot of things about UF, but campus safety doesn’t always feel as solid as it should. Some spots get really dark at night, and the alerts can be kind of confusing or feel like they come too late. I’ve seen police around here and there, but it doesn’t always feel like enough, especially for a school this big. Maybe it’s just me, but has anyone else felt the same way?
